Why InflationFighter.com?

This is a website dedicated to Inflation Investing & Education. In light of present and possible future economic conditions, InflationFighter® strongly recommends the following course of action:

  1. Education - Chris Martenson's "Crash Course"; is a MUST! (www.ChrisMartenson.com/crashcourse). The course takes a little over three hours total and is very well done (cost is free, donations are welcome).

Another excellent resource is Daniel Amerman's free mini-course "Turning Inflation into Wealth" (www.mortgagesecretpower.com). Here again, the material is outstanding and very helpful.

Taking these two courses will likely provide you more knowledge than that possessed by the vast majority of financial professionals. In terms of economic newsletters, John Williams' Shadow Statistics (www.shadowstats.com) and Bill Buckler's 'The Privateer' (www.the-privateer.com) are very helpful for an ongoing understanding of today's environment.

There are a number of very good newsletters that can help you understand the current environment and make informed investment decisions.

  2. Self-Assessment after educating yourself about the issues at hand, you will need to look at your own financial situation and determine what potential scenarios you want to be prepared for.

  3. Develop & Execute a Plan of Action that is in line with your objectives and risk tolerance.

To help you implement your investment strategy, InflationFighter.com provides a directory of companies and individuals that offer investment alternatives in the following areas:

  • Bullion & Coin Dealers (gold, silver, platinum)
  • Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs)
  • Money Managers
  • Newsletter providers
  • Companies (publicly traded)

Within the major subject areas of ETFs, Money Managers, Newsletters, and Companies, there is a further breakdown into the following categories:

  1. Precious Metals
  2. Energy
  3. Clean (Renewable) Energy
  4. Agriculture (Food) & Water
  5. Emerging Markets
  6. Real Estate

When evaluating investment results, it is important to think in inflation-adjusted terms. For example, if a stock portfolio that you hold goes up 50% but real inflation is running at a 60% annual rate, you have lost ground in reality. An easier way to keep up with this is to compare the return on XYZ investment with the return on gold (since gold seems to do a good job of pricing in inflation expectations).
